Love this place! One of CNY's hidden gems. A family-run art house where the films are chosen with care and introduced with enthusiasm and insightful context. A refreshing alternative to the big-box multiplexes.
the theater is small and not that nice physically compared to the big movie theaters, but it has a charm to it and the small size has a nice intimacy. the owner is so friendly, selling tickets and chatting with customers, and he gives great little introductions before the movies. I no longer live in Syracuse but I try to visit the theater whenever I'm back in town.
The "Manlius Art Cinema" is family-owned and operated. Owner, Nat Tobin, is an expert at selecting fabulous, award winning films for his artistic minded audiences. His venue has been in Manlius, NY for years.
Owner is a gem. Great movies.
Great little local business that plays artistic films you're unlikely to see elsewhere. The decor could use some improvement but when it's dark who cares.
